Opening Times

With its inspiring architecture and peaceful atmosphere, St. George’s Church is well worth a visit. Below is some information that you might find helpful.

We are now allowed back in Church, whilst still following the regulations set out by the Government and the Church of England.

You are, of course, welcome to join us for worship (See our worship page) but if you’d also like to come in for some quiet time then we are open on Wednesdays from 11am to 12 noon and Sundays 11am to 12 noon.

The Chapel area will be available for individual prayer and you are welcome to light a candle in memory of someone important or to help you to focus on a person or situation that has been on your heart.

Please note that there are restrictions in place which we are obliged to follow.

Up to date information is available via chester.anglican.org or https://www.churchofengland.org/more/media-centre/coronavirus-covid-19-guidance-churches.

We will still be following strict hygiene regulations in line with recommendations from the Government and Church of England.

Whilst we would love to see you , can we ask you to refrain from coming to church should you be experiencing any Covid like symptoms such as a new cough, raised temperature, loss or change of taste or smell.

You will be asked to use hand sanitizer at the entrance of the church and during the service prior to receiving Communion.

Can we ask you to wear face coverings please? We do recognise, however, that there may be some people who for various genuine reasons cannot wear a face covering. You are still very welcome.

Please follow the guidance of the sidespeople and churchwardens who are happy to help.

As part of the Government’s Track and Trace programme, we will be asking for your details as you enter the church. We follow all GDPR requirements.
